General knowledge help? - Guild Wars Forums

I have been to temple of Ages as a 55hp monk as a noob to 55'ing and found there's alot going on for party members but understand them all? I know UW means underworld but ive seen others there such as FoW and a few others, what do these all stand for and what can be found there?

FoW= Fissure of Woe. Whats found there is a bunch of monsters all higher than lvl 20. They are tuff but they CAN drop pretty decent items. Warriors do chest runs in FoW. Cant think of any other ones right now sorry.

OP ~ I can barely understand your post, but I think you're asking for explanation of high level areas and their abbreviations.

There are only two major long standing areas and that is the Underworld and the Fissure of Woe.

In Tyria (prophecies campaign) there is SF which is Sorrow's Furnace. This is in south Shiverpeaks in an area called Grenth's Footprint.

I'm not far enough in factions yet to know what the popular high level farming areas are or what their popular abbreviations would be.

Like the others said, FoW or UW in prophecies. Both of these are accessible from the temple of the ages. I think that you are not understanding the spam in chat? at least thats what I can make out. Simply put:

FoW = Fissure of Woe
UW = Underworld
or 55hp monk looking for SS/SV Necro (Spiteful spirit/symp.visage) which is a necro build for the underworld.
Trapper = Ranger with trap skills
etc etc

In Factions, the elite missions i.e. the deep and urgoz warren are fast becoming the new farming zones of choice for the zodiac weapons. Some people like to chest farm in Naphui quarter for the celestial weapons.

thank you, sorry if it seems hard to understand my post but the last one rounds things off as its what i needed to know as i wondered what these parties were for and whether to join them, now i know thank you
